We’ve been in town 4 day and have eaten twice at the Cowboy Café. They have a wide variety of food, everything from breakfast, sandwiches to home cooked meals. The café is busy first come first serve. The employees work as a team and are very attentive to your needs. Try the Salmon Corn Soup, it’s great. The café offers... More

Very friendly, efficient, cheerful kind of place in small-town Wyoming. Food is decent, pie menu as mentioned by others, as long as your arm. Recommended if you find yourself passing through on the way to or from the Tetons or Yellowstone.

After driving home late on Memorial Day weekend from Yellowstone we were afraid we wouldn't find any food. Luckily they were open till 9 and the food was really good. We sat on the patio with our dog and it was the perfect way to wrap up a day. My friends had the steak and I had the elk sausage.... More

I've eaten at the Cowboy Cafe several times. The building has housed a restaurant since 1939, so it is an institution for locals and visitors alike. The selection of homemade pies is outstanding, and they are delicious. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast you need look no further. If you want healthy choices you might want to try something... More

After getting stuck in Dubois with a mechanical problem, we arrived at the Cowboy Cafe just before they closed. But they were more than willing to accomodate the 13 of us. Sat us down with no problem, and served all of us very quickly with absolutely no complaints from the staff. I always feel welcome there, but in this case... More

I have eaten at this café well over fifty times in the four Summers/Autumns I've travelled to Dubois and especially like their grilled chicken sandwiches (which can be customized to order), breakfasts (hint: instead of scrambled eggs, ask for 2 eggs in mini omelette form), and PIES. The amazing variety of pies (e.g., chocolate bourbon pecan, berry, apple, cream pies,... More

Gave this place several shots before I finally gave up. Inconsistent service, dirty tables, occasionally the food is worth the price. Burgers are good. Tried a fish and chips basket which was seriously overpriced at $10 for what amounted to a child's portion, and just fried junk. If you don't care about how long it will take or if you... More

I've never eaten dinner here, but we love to stop in for breakfast before heading up to the mountains to trapse around in the snow! Always a fun atmosphere, with locals or people traveling through Dubois. Definately a great place to stop! They also serve breakfast until 1:30 in the afternoon! Breakfast if the best meal, I think, to get... More
