Stopped by Mama's for lunch. The menu was described as "Hawaiian Comfort Food." My wife and I both ordered the $6.99 lunch special (1/2 rotisserie chicken + 2 sides - I chose rice & macaroni salad). Really enjoyed the food - it was all very delicious! Plus very friendly service! While we were eating, several locals came in and bought... More

I don't know how this place is even open for business. We had the rib plate and the ribs tasted like the permade ones you buy and beans were notthing special. On top of the food not being very good the prices were crazy.

Mama's is the best rib place on Maui. Also, she has excellent BBQ Chicken and a very friendly staff.

This is not a barbacue place, the pork ribs are defintely boiled. The ribs are not smoked and they have no dry rubb and they have not been barbacued. They are tender and easily come off the bone, but the flavor comes from the sauce, which is a little too sweet for me. So if you know really good barbacue... More

I am a rib connoisseur, if you boil your ribs when you cook them you'll love this place. If you are a true BBQ'er you'll be disappointed. Good sauce, good chicken and a large amount of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Take out style with limited seating, open late-ish.

I was excited about having Hawaiian BBQ. Other than it physically being in Hawaii, this wasn't exciting. As far as BBQ goes, it was average, not bad. The Portuguese soup was very good though. The actual turnoffs were the sour-grapes employees, the zero atmosphere, and the fact that they had already run out of things and it was only like... More

$16 gave us a good rack of ribs with decent sides that fed us both. I thought about a higher rating because of the budget value and friendliness. Perhaps if we choose to visit again.

The free books we read about this place made the ribs sound like a meal from heaven. There was ample portions of ribs roasted with a large amount of sauce poured over period. The side dishes were not enticing so we ordered rice. I have no idea how they managed to destroy it but they did!! The restaurant was not... More

In a land of tourist traps and ripoffs, Mama's is a refreshing oasis. Basically a hole in the wall in a strip mall, Mama's Ribs & Rotisserie has a simple menu (mostly of pork, naturally, but also several chicken dishes) that it does VERY well. Prices are reasonable and the portions are more than adequate. Tried the BBQ pork sandwich... More
