We were celebrating my son's first birthday and wanted somewhere special. We sat on the patio, the view was fantastic. We had the ahi bruschetta, the calamari, and the four dips to start. We all had salads and entrees. We shared the house dessert. The portions were big, the food was all fresh and absolutely delicious. The food was light,... More

Ma'La is at the north end of Front Street in Lahaina, Maui. When you first drive by you think it might be another dive equipment rental place on the beach. Inside is a very quaint (small) restaurant and bar area. But the view is worth a million. Ma'la sits right on the water with views of Molokai and Lanai. Weekends... More

We chose Ma'la to celebrate a birthday dinner while visiting Lahaina. I must say, we were quite pleased with our decision! We sat outside on the covered porch and watched a beautiful sunset complete with sailboats and sea turtles. Very hard to beat! The prices were very high, but when we received our food the amount and quality seemed to... More

Small place right on the water in Lahina. Turtles poke their heads out of the water as you eat dinner and watch the sun set over the water. Its very low key. Prices were expensive but portions were in line. Fantastic food.

Mala Ocean Tavern is a wonderful (and tiny) seaside restaurant in Lahaina Town. Forget your preconceived notions about Lahaina being too touristy and not worthy of a stop for a foodie- this place is delightful and provided one of the best food experiences we had on Maui. Perched on the beach a few feet from the water Mala offers incredible... More

We have eaten dinner here 5 times over 2 years. Each dinner was wonderful. Most recently we split the Avalon Tuna and the Manilla clams. Wow - both were brilliant. Service was very good, we have managed to sit outside 4 of the 5 times which is an added bonus.

We've had a bad experience here with the staff at a prior visit. It was time to go back since we've really liked the food and service prior to that. Waiting for us at the door was the same manager who disappointed us last trip. No worries, let's just go and have a great breakfast before Whale watching. Well, Bloody... More

Our second time was better than the first! Love that they use organic - even the condiments. Fantastic view. Mai Tai was great! Our family enjoyed 4 different dishes for dinner and all were fantastic.

We literally stumbled upon this little gem on a foot tour from our modest diggs down the street. Could not have asked more. Great food, amazing views and wonderful ambience. The perfect way to end our three day stay on Maui. Mahalo Mala.

The first time we had brunch at Mala, we walked in without a reservation. The host said, "give me a few minutes, I'm setting up a great table for you." We sat at the edge of the deck, so close to the water we got splashed a few times! We just returned for our third brunch at Mala this morning... More
