Calling all aussies. The coffee at blue bottle is as good as in Melbourne but if you want a "normal" latte ask for a gibraltar as their "lattes" are very big, very weak and at least double the milk A++++ You always see other Aussies here. A haven. (Also good poached eggs, muffins etc with not too much salt/sugar/fat added)

popular (always a short queue) in sidestreet with parklet ride outside. Only one bean/roast used to expertly make gourmet coffee

There's no seating except a standalone bar rest, but good enough for togos and quick coffee break, simply a great blue bottle coffee stop.

great place for an afternoon break, outdoor cafe tables in SFMoma, across from Yerba Buena Gardens. But sorry, no decaf iced coffee from the stellar Blue Bottle brand

Each time when visiting San Francisco I take the trouble to go to this cafe for a excellent capucino . Numerous time I said it is the best coffee I had in the US. This time, the taste of the coffee was like cardboard. The long line waiting for coffee makes me hope it was just a coincidence. Even for... More

In one way or another we found ourselves at various blue bottle locations frequently. The staff in the Ferry Building were very friendly, as were the ones south of Market. They were willing to sit and discuss the process behind Kyoto iced coffee, gave us samples, etc. More often than not they didn't rush the pour-over like some of the... More

Amazing coffee! The trip advisor rating did not disappoint! We went back to the one in the ferry building marketplace three times in two days! Each drink is made to order, so it takes a few minutes, but trust me - it's worth it.

Made per cup from the freshest and most carefully chosen beans, ground just before you imbibe. If you like dark rich coffee, you can get it here. They also have an outlet on the top floor of the SF Museum of Modern Art, where you can sip your fresh brew while enjoying a rooftop sculpture garden. Very good.

Coffee in the USA is universally awful but the Blue Bottle Cafe in the Hayes Valley is one of the rare exceptions to the rule. Hole in the wall place with very little seating but they do what they do very well. No queue at 8:30am and a short queue at 3pm. Friendly, although slightly vague staff. Will definitely return.
