Description: Zero Zero opened in 2010 inspired by Chef Bruce Hill’s dedication to farm driven ingredients, combined with his love for wood-fired pizzas that have been nicknamed “Calipolitan”. Michael Bauer of the San Francisco Chronicle named us the French Laundry of upscale pizza, and the readers of 7x7 Magazine voted us “Best Pizza in San Francisco”. In addition to pizza, our menu showcases housemade pastas, a variety of market-fresh appetizers, and artisan soft serve. We also have two big time bars with a selection of seasonal house cocktails, beers, and 12 wines on tap.

This Italian restaurant has excellent antipasti which is varied with greens, veggies, meats et al. The main feature is pizza which is excellent. It is curious that the pizza and starters are not too expensive but the wine list is vast, primarily if not all Italian but somewhat pricey. That being said the food is very good, service terrific and has a nice atmosphere.... More

Ate here with a party of five. Started with a bruschetta and the chicken thighs which were both great! We had a mushroom pizza that was great but enjoyed the presidio pizza more. We also tried some of their salads which were great.

Didn't have reservation, waited 45 minutes at the table. we ordered the Mozzarella salad which was tasteless and Castro pizza , that had strong Anise flavor. The service was quick .

We ate here based on a recommendation by the concierge at the hotel. Food was great - loved the trendy, fun atmosphere. We didn't know that the pizza was the "hot item" on the menu, but every table around us had pizza. We enjoyed other main entrees and thought our meals were very good.

We asked hotel staff for a recommendation for pizza. He sent us here. It is a trendy place, not a pizza shop. The pizza was okay (standard brick oven small pizzas) but very overpriced.

We were a large group, we sat on a bar-like table, and ordered several dishes to the middle of the table. Absolutely every one of the dishes I tried was very tasty. Pizzas and pastas were both good, and we had 4 different appetizers that were just as good. The desserts I liked a bit less, but they weren't bad.

The food and staff were good. We did have some questions about the bill which listed the City's numerous taxes, fees, and requirements for employee health insurance rather than including them in the price.

Went here with a group of friends and shared a salad, two pizzas and a pasta between us. The pasta was quite small and nothing special. The pizzas were tasty but no better than many other cheaper restaurants. The two cocktails we tried were average - one too weak and one too strong. One thing I do rate highly was... More

Sometimes this perennial darling of SOMA is a much needed respite from the hipster chic of Valencia St and welcomes you with a warm glow from its light fixtures that extends to the service staff. Bartenders know their craft and serve some great cocktails and help you get in a great mood. After two or three of them and some... More
