Went for Sunday brunch and their ovens were broken. 40 minute delay but no problem. Food was pretty good (huge portions), great coffee. The booths along the wall were pretty cool. Didn't have any of their cocktails, but many were who seemed to be enjoying them. Recommend for weekend brunch..but book as very busy with locals (not too many tourists... More

My niece lives in the City and took us here for Saturday Brunch recently. The area of the City is very nice, lots of shopping nearby, and was easy to get to on the Muni. Overall, go here for the ambiance, the service, and the unique food offerings. Servers are not pretentious, very friendly, and super nice & happy to... More

It's probably the oldest operating restaurant on the Fillmore. Love the old wood and the booth seating. Lots of charm. Great California "Creole" menu. Generous portions. Try the shrimp okra poppers, eat them while they're hot! Still a busy place on the weekends.

We make a point to go to the Elite every time we are in San Francisco. The menu is rich with Cajun fare, all prepared very, very well. The cornbread is heavenly, as are the jonnycakes, but the real delight is the New Orleans style barbecue shrimp. Served in an iron platter with delicious sauce, you might want a follow... More

We ate here last night with another couple in a tiny booth - a lot of reviewers have liked the intimate (much quieter) space, but we like to see what's going on around us - and that was impossible. That said, this was the only downside to a really delicious, very reasonably priced meal - and we considered ourselves lucky... More

Had a very secluded booth. Service was prompt and professional. Deviled aggs and home made biscuits were mouth-watering. Silver cream corn and bay shrimp was to die for. Would recommend without hesitation!

My wife and I ate here on a Friday night around 6PM. Even at this hour it was very busy, as was the rest of Fillmore Street. The restaurant while quite large is smaller than I imagined from the Web pictures and very noisy, fortunately we were seated in a booth which with the high walls blocked out most of... More
