Positive reviews were spot on. This little neighborhood bistro serves very good food and offers a reasonably priced wine list with some real gems at $60 and below. I have no complaints with my pork chop entree and panna cotta dessert. Judging by my 4 dinner companions empty plates, the halibut and chicken were very good too. Atmosphere is relaxed.... More

Nice little place away from the hustle and bustle but on the tram line so easy to find. Was there in Nov 2011 but just getting to the review now!. Enjoyed the food, very tasty and great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and knowledgable. Booked via a colleague in the area and was not disappointed. Would go back there if i... More

A delightful birthday dinner for my husband and me. An intimate venue with seating for 60. Fabulous Russian Hill location (though parking is a bear in this neighborhood). A warm greeting and a small wait for the best table in the house in the front bay window. A warm night and the restaurant was warm--glad not to be upstairs. Small... More

Recommended by a local, I'd now recommend it as a tourist. Everyone was great - food is excellent. I asked to have all my dishes prepared without butter and my request was accommodated pleasantly and the food was delicious. Following other TA reviews, I requested a downstairs table - the ones by the front door might be chilly because the... More

We were seated upstairs with a view down to the open kitchen below. While it is cozy and entertaining, it's very warm upstairs and even smokey during 7-8pm when entrees are being whipped up and finally cooler during dessert time. We'll sit down stairs next time. Husband started with sardines and a rose', I had the warm octopus salad with... More

Returned to Frascati last week for a business dinner. This was my second visit over the course of 24 months, both times I experienced excellent service and delicious meals. This time I had the pork chop, awesome! I also like the smallish atmosphere of this place. I'll return for sure.

Not the best, but very good. I have no idea y the waitress asked if we were splitting the meal? Cause we r Hispanic ? Get used to it sf! ..... And the stairs to the restroom is very narrow...and small.... I slipped :/

Make sure to wear some flowers in your hair (maybe "borrowed" from Lombard Street), but if you cross Lombard on the Hyde streetcar line over the hill from the bay, keep an eye out for Frescati on your right. Bistro-styled, this jewel of a restaurant serves up exquisite cuisine and a fantastic wine selection, in an intimate, locals-who-know-dine-here atmosphere. My... More

Loved the steak tartare and the grilled halibut, and my teenagers also found things they enjoyed. And great service too - definitely my favorite place to eat in San Francisco for my recent trip.

Came here late on a Thursday night after a long flight. Seating was comfortable and the space was cozy and warm. Managed to convince my dinner partner to share the sardine app with me. Usually I can only get my cat to join me for such things. We both agreed it was tasty. Greens served with it and a simple... More
