This is a good place to grab a quick lunch --- good selection of different Asian cuisines - Thai, Japanese, Chinese, etc. The vegetables used in their dishes were fresh and crunchy and everything was very tasty. The restaurant was clean and service was very efficient. I would definitely eat here again.

Doc Chey's is located in the heart of the downtown tourist area onf Asheville, and it's a good place to stop for a relatively quick and inexpensive meal. As a vegetarian, I was a bit disappointed that some of the dishes that at first glance appeared to be vegetarian actually contained fish sauce - only the items on the menu... More

The food was excellent! We had Bangkok noodle bowl and Chinese black bean noodle bowl, Thai basil wraps, and Gaelic ale. The portions were huge, fresh, and the service was moderately paced. When you arrive, be sure to let the host(ess) know that you are there, and then you can wait either inside or outside. The outside is a bit... More

Came at a bust time Sunday evening. Was told wait time will be 20 minutes. However, had to wait 50 minutes before a table was ready. After ordering, waited 40 minutes before food was served (after reminding the waitress several times). I ordered vegetarian Pad Thay. When it finally arrived I found out that it was mostly noodles with a... More

The tables are very close to maximize seating. This gives it that communal experience. The staff is friendly. The noodles are very tasty. The choices are vast. The appetizers are abundant and delicious. Would definitely return.

Went here on a Sunday night with friends. There was a 30 minute wait, the place is small. Our server was efficient, friendly, sweet, knowledgeable, and accommodating. All of the food was excellent, and came to the table piping hot and delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

There are so many Asian restaurants in Asheville and almost all are good, so it's notable that I chose DOC's to review. Outside of one other Thai restaurant(which I hope to review), DOCs always gets mentioned on our "where do we want to eat" list.

Very tasty rice and noodle dishes. Thai inspired, with other Asian influences. Crisp, fresh veggies, not soggy or overcooked like you sometimes find at other restaurants. The portion sizes are usually pretty big, so I often have enough for lunch the next day.

our first stop in Asheville could not have been better.. the service was excellent, the menu had a wide variety or entrees which included traditional noodle dishes and soups and the prices on the whole were/are quite reasonable..

This place will give you a great bowl of delicious food that will warm you and fill you up, for a great price. It has quick service and is great before or after a show.
