Had dinner there with a group of nine people. The service was excellent as was the food. The owner, Bill, came by several times and checked on us. All the foods we ordered were "local" grown foods with the exception of the mussels. We ate upstairs, and there was entertainment downstairs that added some ambience to what was a great... More

This is a farm-to-table establishment where it was stated that most of the menu items are made with ingredients from within a 100-mile radius. The decor included brushed stainless steel, mirrors, a huge leafy-looking abstract triptych, and golden drapes to soften the industrial interior. Live music consisted of a one-man band who played music on several different instruments as diverse... More

We ate at the Market Place for the first time for dinner. The atmosphere here is more modern and upscale than other restaurants in Asheville, but still local enough that the server swear blue jeans. There was a DJ mixing background music to occupy the 3 stories of this restaurant. Our server was very personable and took great care of... More

The menu was both unique and comfortable at the same time. The steak was very unique with the wood flavor and homemade sauce. A must try if in the Asheville area.

All about presentation here. Cliche decor (dark gray, dim lights, quasi industrial). This restaurant could be in any southern Calif strip mall or hair salon. Food was extremely disappointing -- chauceterie plate heaped with meat served with four slices of thumb sized pieces of bread. Seven gnocchi as $20 entry. This restaurant is no labor of love or art, it... More

Another small plates eatery. 2 small plates were enough to rule out dessert. I went with a friend and since we each had 2 plates, I tried 4 different things. All were wonderful! The maple bacon with brussel sprouts was different and so delicious. The charcuterie platter was a nice variety and plentiful too. Also, it was not noisy, the... More

After checking in at the Indigo Hotel in Asheville, we began to look for a nearby restaurant for dinner. Google Maps and other search tools were used to reveal several restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. Of course, Trip Advisor was included to look over reviews posted from the earlier travel pioneers for advice. The reviews looks good and... More
