Why though when in Boston.... a city that has a plethora of excellent Italian fare (North End etc) would you go to a restaurant you could go to in Charlotte or Atlanta. Yawn.

We arrvied the day after the bombing and most of the restaurants near our hotel were closed. Wandered around and found Maggiano's. Great old timey Italian restaurant. After an all day journey from California we were ready for some comfort food and found it there.

We hadn't been to Maggiano's in a few years, but went there last Saturday. There were 8 of us and we had the 'family style' offerings from a separate menu. You can order 3 starters, 4 main courses and 2 desserts at a fixed price per person. You may order seconds (or more) and whatever you don;t finish, you take... More

Basic italian food but really really good meat sauce. We were in town for the marathon so we needed to "carb up". We ate there two times and both were great. the restaurant was in a great location and was plenty of space. The service was great and the price was very reasonable. Again, it was basic italian but exactly... More

Was in Boston on business and stopped in for a quick bite to eat. I tried the lasagna. It was excellent; no complaints. The staff was friendly, but I could hear their personal conversations with each other from my table... A little annoying, but it was not disrupt the otherwise very quiet and pleasant Italian atmosphere.

Ok this is just an italian restaurant so maybe do not expect some incredible food. But for preparing pasta, they are good, even very good. I chose the "famous rigatoni D" that were tasting very good, well served and not pricey at all. Regarding the dessert one can be afraid that the ones around 2 dollars are as small as... More

We went to this restaurant on a recomendation (more than one person) after the theatre. It was a Sunday evening and it was 9pm when we sat down. The restaurant itself was charming, very large but with a lovely feel and great atmosphere even though it wasnt busy. We were given a booth by the kitchen door so there was... More

Their flatbread was absolutely delicious! The service was also great. It probably one of the nice and affordable places to go out in Boston.
