Had a drink here last night and was so glad to see my favorite bartender, Alex. He knows how to make the best Manhattans ever and has a great friendly attitude.
Whenever I am in downtown San Diego on business, I eat at Currant. I have been dining there since it opened in 2007. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a French bistro or brasserie. They have a tempting variety of menu items, many of which are French-inspired. I like the Moules Frites (mussels with thyme French fries.) Burger lovers will enjoy... More
Chose this restaurant to hold a fundraiser dinner- it turned out so well. Renee was so great to work with, the ambiance was great, the food was amazing. I received so much glory for picking the right place. I was so impressed with the service- sometimes when you have a big group and the gratuity is included, the service is... More
This is our second time eating at this restaurant in the past year and I think it was even better this time. This was easily one of our top meals on our trip this week and if I had another night open for dinner I would go back. The service was excellent (and we have a 2 year old who... More
Stumbled upon this place as we went to look for a place to eat after a long day sightseeing ... What a find , seating outside, crisp clean white tablecloths and a tempting menu . The service was out of this world, the waiter explained happy hour drinks.. And even suggested ordering 2 so we could use the happy hour... More

Went for a nightcap the day before Alex-again- was very accommodating, since I got there shortly after he called last call. Went back for brunch on Saturday and was treated with the same... More
Food great quality. Wife had grilled cheese, tomato soup. I had the heuvo rancheros Decor, food and staff was great.
Stopped in to Currant to take advantage of their tasty happy hour menu. The mussels and fries were very good, the calamari was standard but good, and the mac and cheese had a bit of a different flavor to it...atmosphere is very nice and the service was excellent.
