TL's is close to Burrus House Inn where we stayed, so we decided to give it a try. So glad we found this diner! As other reviewers stated, it is a local's diner. We found everyone to be friendly, going about their business. We enjoyed listening to the charter boat captains talking about their day at sea. This diner is... More

My boyfriend and I, on our first night in the area for our Memorial Day weekend trip, went just down the road from we were staying to this restaurant. We went in and were a little confused but the servers behind the counter said to just sit down. I was surprised there were not any smaller tables - there were... More

We went out of season. Food was fresh and homestyle with great prices. We had lunch special, hamburger steak, fries, green beans, okra, and corn nuggets. (everyone had different sides) Also, comes with a side of bread. We chose hushpuppies. It was so good, we went back the next day.

This place was a favourite for us to go for a great breakfast with all the trimmings. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is excellent and the menu is wide and varied. You definitely wont leave hungry! Highly recommended for a traditional American experience. One last thing that I have to say is "Grits?" Whats that all... More

This place is right down the street from the courthouse. Cops and court personnel (including the judge) eat here all the time, so if you're on a most-wanted list, go somewhere else. Pickups and service trucks filling the parking lot tell you it's popular with the locals and the working crowd. The menu has everything from burgers and sandwiches to... More

We went to the island to visit a couple of tourist sites. It was around 2:00 pm and we were both pretty hungry. On the way to one of our destinations we drove past this place and, even at that time, noticed how many cars were in the parking lot (also, this was in January so the island was pretty... More

My brother and I stumbled onto this place inDecember. Great and filling breakfasts. Excellent grits and the sausage gravy and biscuits are the best. We also went back for dinner. Fried oysters from the Oregon inlet. Yum! And the shrimp and grits are to die for. Serves the locals, watermen and game wardens. And the servers were all friendly. It... More

Food was delicious - we all had the hamburger steak special. Our waitress went out of her way to make us feel welcome and provide service.

Locals favorite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Great chicken salad coldplate with home made (not the grape & nut kind) chicken salad. Home made macaroni and potato salads taste fresh and delicious. Diner style set-up. Great fried fish and oyster plates. You'll need a fork and knife for the TL burger. Many choices--lots of fried foods. This place does a... More
