I went to Lupa for dinner and I must say it was a very good experience. The service was very good and all the food was also good. I recommend the Quail with Pear Mostarda, the Leg of Lamb with Celery Root & Polenta and the Tartufo for desert. Just go and enjoy!

We wanted to eat at one of Mario Batali's restaurants without spending too much money and came for Sunday lunch. We liked everything we had (we didn't stay for dessert but instead trekked over to Payard, a couple of blocks away). We started our meal with some bread, mozzarella and their speck, which was so good. Between the four of... More

We went to this restaurant this morning for lunch. The service was quick. The food was average except for peas entree. The salads were fresh and delicious. I found the desserts quite ordinary. The sweet dish made of dates was not impressive. The wine sauce was harsh and did not compliment the stuffed dates. The fresh fruit juices too were... More

Could have been much better. We had an early dinner in Lupa and two things struck us: some dishes are excellent (e.g. roasted duct I had was almost perfect and the gnocchi very good) some very average (my wife's salad and pasta with chicken stew). As for service, suffice it to say I got the gnocchi (first course) and the... More

We went at 4 PM because we had 7 PM Broadway show tickets, so it was nice and quiet. One of the best Italian meals ever! We had the escarole salad, Bavette (essentially cacio e pepe), Gnocchi, and Saltimboca. They were all outstanding. Couldn't resist the gelato for dessert, which was excellent. For wine we had the Montepulciano Solonio, which... More

We went with friends from NYC who rate this place as there fave eatery in town. We did 4 courses each plus salad, baby doll needs something green when she eating. The quail with pear mustardo was delicious, the pumpkin agnolotti the best I've had and tripe Ragu equally splendiferous. Mains of baccalau and lamb went down well too. There... More

This used to be one of my favorites in the city for a casual, good meal. No longer good. Over the past couple of years, food and service have become progressively worse. The last encounter was the pits... Noisy, crowded, confused and rushed service. Food was un inspiring, wrongly seasoned (some dishes were without any flavor while others had too... More

We celebrated a big birthday for "paterfamilias" and Lupa could not have been a better venue for a family of 7 adults and 4 children ranging from 5years to 8 months with more than everything for everyone. The adults partook of sumptuous tasting menu that consisted of an antipasti of Verdure, Salume e Pesce; a secondi of Spaghetti alla Carbonara... More

We have visited Lupa before, and a New York visit is not complete without a visit to Lupa. The food was very nice, as the wine selection. The service maybe a bit rushed, but on the other hand very efficient. We will probably be back again at our next visit.
