Visit this off the track restaurant for great food and drink. Pretty restaurant with wonderful service staff.
Only been once but the ribs were to die for and can I please have the recipe for what they put on their roasted corn on the cob.
Most of the reviews say it all, MEDIOCRE !!! 14 family members waited a long time for Cold Tasteless food! Rude waitress didn't make it better. The fact that we enjoyed each other's company saved the night. Never again!!!
The special 1/2 chicken , served with two sides, is so juicy and succulent. I am not a person who orders chicken in restaurants, but this preparation is really something special. The rest of my party had burritos---so big that they had to take them home. We all had wonderful frozen drinks...pomegranate daiquiri---fabulous. Service is pleasant and prompt. Nice atmosphere... Sure you get to sit down with a knife and fork, have waiter service and all. The food was just not good. I can't believe that this restaurant got such good ratings. The place is always crowded, so we decided to try it out. Unfortunately to our dismay. Service was okay, but the food was just not good. My wife... More
Sipping one of the many different flavors of frozen margaritas at Gabriela's on Columbus is one of my favorite memories of New York. The staff is friendly and the guys at the bar treat you like old friends. This place always makes me smile. The appetizers are first rate. It gets kind of loud at dinner, but happy hour at... More
Ironically, Gabriela's (authentic Mexican cuisine - not Texamush) is just around the corner from me and I've only eaten here several times but every meal has been great. But last Monday night a friend and I had a dinner that was to die for. We started with "powerful" margaritas on the rocks, no salt and a large bowl of freshly... More
We ate here with a group of friends and our 18 month old. It was a bit of a reunion, and my friend chose Gabriela's because she knew we wouldn't be rushed out the door. Lovely location on Columbus Avenue, good food, including standard Mex-american fare as well as more traditional Mexican entrees. We all started with a tequila shot... More
While I was surprised by the low ratings of its sister restaurant, Elizabeth's, I am equally astounded by the high ratings Gabriela's has received. Nothing was wrong per se, and the service was very good, but for me, nothing was really RIGHT. The veggie enchiladas were just so/so and everything else felt like a Chili's meal at three times the... This neighborhood spot serves upscale mexican with great margaritas - they have an expansive tequila bar as well. We've been coming here for years and now with two kids have noted that it is also super family friendly - especially during the earlier dinner hours. Go between 4-6pm for the Sunset Special dinner pricing and Brnuch on weekends is always... More
