I love the red velvet cheesecake!! Love the banana pudding!! Love Munique and how she is attentive every time we go even when it's busy inside.
Just because Carrie Bradshaw bought there a brownie, it really doesn't make it a good bakery. Unless you feel sentimental about this particular TV show, don't go there. Staff is indifferent on the verge of being rude, the place looks like it needs a visit from the health inspector and what they sell is really average, if not worse.
Visited here a couple of years ago and had the driest cupcake ever. Decided to give it another chance, but this time it was even more dry. Will not go for a third time. Staff were not very friendly either.
Amazing place for a quick stop to try some of the most delicious desserts of New York. I loved specially the Banana Pudim. So tasty and fresh! Since the first time I ate it became my favorite dessert ever! I can't wait to go back to NY to eat it again!
We came here because all the stories (sex & the city etc). We did not regret! We had a humingbird cake and cocos cake. Both were the best!! The icing was great!!!!! One of the best cakes I ever had!! Highly recommended!!!
We passed by this bakery and stopped in on a walk in the evening. There wasn't much of a line at that time. We bought a pumpkin cupcake, red velvet cupcake, and a chocolate cupcake. They were ok. The pumpkin and chocolate cupcakes were pretty dry and didn't have much flavor. The red velvet was the best of them, but... More
Whilst we were in the area, we thought we would visit Magnolia Bakery simply because it featured in Sex and the City. We purchased 2 cupcakes which were mediocre, nothing special. The staff were extremely rude. For that reason alone, I wouldn't return.
We found recommendation of this place in some of the tour guides we've read and decided to give it a shot. It was more than worth it :) we tried banana pudding, which was supposed to be their specialty, red velvet cheese cake and blueberry cheesecake. Whichever you choose will not be a mistake. Pudding is priced about $3 and... More
Yes it is possible to get a slice of heaven! Actually it's better to buy your very own mini cheesecake (approx $7 ). Various flavours and toppings, I managed to try 3 different flavours over the course of our visit and they were all light, creamy delicious and extremely moreish! If you can get here to savour a flavour do....
I don't understand why people come here. There are so many better places to eat cup cakes or desserts in general in NYC. These are not worth paying a few dollars and waiting in long lines. Their cupcakes don't even taste anything special.
