Had been in NYC about a month ago and struggled to find good coffee, then met a new yorker on a bus in guatemala who suggested this place. Total win! Delicious coffee and lovely staff. So good i had to have two coffees and spent the next few hours very jittery but worth it!

Probably the best latte I have ever had in my life. Very rich and smooth with so many subtle flavors in the espresso. I also had a blueberry muffin that was very tasty. Only wish they had a way to warm it. My husband is not a coffee drinker, so he had chai tea that he said was just average.

When you sit down to a coffee and it makes you cry with happiness you know you have found that proverbial needle in the haystack. Latte art is always a good sign of a legit coffee shop. If you think that drink you got at Starbucks or DD is a real latte you've got to get out more. This is a place that gets coffee.

Fortunate to stay on 20th St. between 7th & 8th Avenues recently, I was referred to the Cafe Grumpy for the BEST coffee nearby. During my 4 days in Manhattan, Cafe Grumpy's coffee (decaf & leaded) absolutely was the BEST. My favorite is Americano and this always got my day off to a great start and ended it well, too.
