I've been wanting to try the burgers, but the lines have kept me away...believe me, it's worth the wait! I got the Smokeshack...delicious, with apple smoke bacon & shack sauce! & French fries, also good. We went after a play in midtown, at 10 pm the line was still long, but moved fairly quickly.

Seriously - when I'm on the east coast, nothing beats a DoubleShack with cheese. The meat has such great flavor and the bun is perfect. no plates and you have to eat off a tray. The store on East 86th Street smells up the whole neighborhood with greasy meat smells. Nauseating

The title sums up this review. I researched Trip Advisor for a top 10 burger in New York and decided on here. I chose well, it was quite late on a Sunday evening, it was quite busy, most tables were full, but the burger was worth waiting for. Delicious. The atmosphere in the park was relaxed just surreal. Loved it.

We ate here twice and were not dissapointed. Burgers and fries are awesome. The long lines and slow servixe are less great. If you can, skip sitting in the restaurant and just order to go, it will speed things up.

Worth the queue that you will experience at every location... burgers and shakes and fries to die for and quick service at realistic prices. Quality and taste in one of the best hamburger joints in town
