My visit to Cattleman's strengthens my case against restaurants which sell "atmosphere" before much as actual food. Driving to the middle of the desert for a steak on a ranch was a good escape from town. But the dining room was overrun with kids and my ribeye and sides were served just warm, from a cart covered with some tin... More

Dear Jetset83, We are sorry your visit didn't live up to your expectations. We are a family restaurant and have never advertised ourselves as a fancy place. Children are always welcome here. We are sorry your food was not as hot as you prefer it to be. Had you mentioned this to your server they would have been happy to... More

Cattlemen's is an interesting place. It is enormous ans people drive 35 minutes out into the desert to eat here. It almost reminds you of Field of Dreams....build it and they will come!!! This is not a fancy place, but they put out a great meal. While you wait for your table, take your drink out on the veranda and... More

Went with grandchild and he loved it! We got there early on a Sunday. Went to the small zoo area, it was great for the kids. There is also a playground that he liked too! The food was very good! I think the price is fair for the amount you get. My husband got the beef ribs, that came straight... More

This is not only a great restaurant with the best ribs that I have ever had, it is a fun place with beautiful peacocks, buffaloes, donkeys, rabbits, rattlesnakes, prarie dogs, deet, goats, birds, llamas, longhorn cattle and a partridge in a pear tree. You can walk all around looking at the animals being able to pet and feed most. The... More

Another review to rave about the steaks. We split one which was just enough for the both of us. Sides were plentiful. Large baked potatoes and the ranch beans were a treat. Cole slaw with pineapple does give a pleasant description, but was a cleansing additional to the meal. Skip the rolls and skip the herbed butter. With a long... More

We enjoyed our drive, would we go again? Only if we had an out of town guest who might enjoy the history of the movies that were filmed on the ground (for something to do/show). We enjoyed our meal but it is not a meal that we will crave enough to go back for. The family style baked beans had... More

Don't like pineapple in my cole slaw. Love the beans and corn on the cob. I've never had a bad steak here. However a hidden gem at this restaurant is their beef ribs. They are cheap and amazing.

All the reviews are accurate. The steaks are great. The service was very attentive. The restaurant is like a museum. I gave the restaurant an "average" rating because it wasn't a bargain, but then again, if you want a Mercedes - you pay the money for a Mercedes. If you want one of the best steaks ever, you will pay... More

The view is amazing. The steak perfect and the coleslaw superb. The food spectacular. So much to do so little time. My only wish is that my kids could have been to this wonderful place. The animals are so much fun to feed. To see rattlesnakes in a pit was so cool.

I cant even say how many times I've eaten here with family for any given reason but everytime we've gone, everything has been amazing. The drive is kind of long but once there, the property has many things to see such as animals and a tractor ride. We've attended other events sponsored by a company and still gotten the same... More
