We went with another couple for dinner. At first glance, the menu is very confusing, but our waitress was very excited to explain to us what everything was. We ended up doing a tasting menu and each selected 2 small plates and one big. That combined with the humus and salad starters from the tasting menu was a lot of... More

Great food - they call is modern Israeli, which seems to be a mix of classics and some interesting twists on Mediterranean food. I'm vegan and there were several options (be sure to speak up since several were easy adaptations of dishes that usually come with non-vegan sauce or cheese). It's like an Israeli tapas place. I suggest the salatim... More

We visited Zahav in May 2013 and took the recommended menu selection which cost 45 dollars per person. It was amazing experience and perfect full dinner for two people. The main course was the most amazing piece of lamb I have ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Service was very attentive. Noise level was extremely high. Got tasting menu but there wasn't enough taste for most of the items.

Zahav was on the cutting edge of cuisine when it opened but seems to have lost its edge a bit based on a recent visit. Portions seemed smaller than the last time we visited, and the food, while still very good, did not inspire the same awe that it did on earlier visits. However, these comments aside, Zahav is still... More

This was a business dinner for a bunch of people so the menu was irrelevant. The preordered dinner was the tasting menu and it was great. A variety of spreads, dips and other appetizers started us off accompanied by freshly cooked flatbreads. The beef cheeks in pastry were a definite hit. The main course was a lamb dish that had... This is slightly pretentious Israeli inspired cuisine. Small plates with duck heart, raw lamb, sweetbreads and many other items and combinations that resemble an ancient roman feast. The detail sounded beautiful, but the tastes were not quite so memorable. There is hummus and it is very good, but much of the menu is inventive and beautifully displayed. However, the only... More

This is a semi-upscale Israeli cafe-style restaurant, cheerful and bustling. The view was lovely, green from most angles. The waiter was extremely careful with allergies and ignorance of Israeli cuisine which he translated pleasantly; the 10-year old with us was treated respectfully. The best item we had was the flatbread, a relative of naan. Many forms of hummus on the menu.... More
