Since my first, less than exciting experience at Mama's, I went back to give it another try. This time, wow, what a difference. There were far fewer people crowding the restaurant. The server had the chance to chat with me about my order, and I had time to collect some condiments without feeling rushed out of the way. Even better,... More

Everyone seems to rave about Mama's. It was okay, but I am not ready to rave about it...yet. The pros: it's vegetarian and it's very easy for me to get to; pretty reasonably priced, too. The cons: the falafel was okay, but too much of a spice for me...was it nutmeg? I couldn't tell. When I went, it was incredibly... More

Staff friendly and food delicious. Good proximity to major attractions. We had the falafel and french fries and enjoyed both.

If you're looking for kosher in down town Philly, this is a good Parve option. They deliver as well.

The place is pretty dingy, but the staff makes an effort. The menu is limited, so I would probably get tired of eating there every day. If you would like your sandwich spicy, you will probably have to say so more than once. The counter staff have a light hand with the hot sauce. If you have a good appetite,... More

After discovering the incredible Sabich (Israeli goodness in a pita) in NYC earlier this year, I did a little searching in Philadelphia and as luck would have it, I found that Mama's Vegetarian also served it. And to make it even better, it was only a few blocks from the office. It was a very similar preparation to what I... More

I ordered the large falafel sandwich on whole wheat with the "works". It was fabulous and indeed as tasty as what I have had in Israel and Paris! Bring cash, they don't take anything else. Gets very busy for lunch but the line moves fast. Toppings bar for additional fixings...the pickles are awesome!

This place rivals some of the best falafel spots in the world. My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. Make sure to bring cash and double check the hours (they close early and on the sabbath) The fries were a little overrated. Ask for them well done.

Hands down best falafel in Philly. The Sabrina's platter is huge but has everything you could possibly want. If you plan on eating there don't go at peak time because the chances of getting a table are slim. The line is Out the door almost everyday from 11:30-1

The falafel was especially delicious, and the food came very quickly. They also have a great salad bar (note that the salad bar is mostly pickled veggies).
