In April of 2011 we brought guests there , thinking it was the old French bestro. What a dissapointment. It was a pizza and burger joint,\.
Good place to grab something fairly quick. They have a nice deck out back you can eat on. Good food.
What I liked: 1.roomy dining room with lots of space between tables, dining parties. 2.Food had good flavors and there were several appetizing selections on the menu 3. Favorite part - wine 'special's. I highly recommend this. We got good advice from the waiter on pairing an excellent wine with our dinner. Althought the special was slightly more than what... More
One of the finer cuisines on campus. Not the best French in town but also not the most expensive. Creative menus can be hit or a miss, but setting is nice. Lunch deals aren't bad at all.
My favorite place for a beer by the university (the only civilized option, really). But the food is overpriced and mediocre.
The back deck is cool, but the apps are a little too gourmet for my taste! Thecheese platter is kinda gross
Good place at Penn. Can get a little packed during peak college times (commencement, happy hour, etc.). I prefer Bistro St. Tropez for similar food (lighter French fare) at reasonable prices, but wouldn't turn down a chance to go to La Terrasse.
La Terrasse is a very nice place. The staff are friendly, and the vibe is pretty sophisticated, especially given that it is on PENN's campus. The bar menu, the back deck and the drink specials make this a great place to get an upscale meal, and a great place to have a drink with friends.
