I don't order chicken out. I just don't believe in paying for something that I know I can make myself. Unless, it's the chicken with fennel and sausage at Sotto Sopra. It was truly amazing. I even hesitated sharing with my husband on our anniversary! He was thoroughly enjoying his polenta with egg and arugula anyway. The best, however, is... More

The restaurant near Mt Vernon is situated in a building with high ceiling and decorated with two huge murals. Italian food with American influence. Very extensive menu and reasonable wine list.

My wife and I went to Sotta Sopra for an early dinner since we had tickets for a music concert. We were warmly welcomed and our server, Isaac, let us know the specials for the day. My wife opted for the roast lamb while I sampled the Veal Saltimbocca. I enjoyed the veal but the roast lamb was, as they... More

This place is the best Italian restaurant around. Ricardo and his staff are amazing. Fresh food, changing menu. Reasonably priced. Staff is extremely professional and polite.

I had the special whichwas Rock Fish. It was prepared perfectly. The veal dishes were very good however the Saltimbocca left something to be desired. Service was impeccable. My only knock was the price. If cost is not an issue, well worth a visit.

This was my first time at Sotto Sopra and I was impressed. Cozy atmosphere, high ceilings and welcoming environment make this a good place for couples or small groups. The food and service are spot-on. Never felt rushed and didn't want to leave after a delicious meal, I'll definitely come back again.

great food, everything was delicious. Their specialty was fried polenta and it was special. The calamari was so delicate and tasty, the wine superb and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Warm atmosphere....pleasant service...elegant food presentations...try the Caesar Salad or the many fresh pastas such as the Squid Ink pasta with fresh seafood. Finish with the Pistachio Chocolate Creme Brulee.

We went to this tratorria style Italian restaurant for our (adult) son's birthday. He picked it because of the glowing reviews he saw online. We had reservations for 6:30. We were told when we arrived (on time) that our table was not ready but it would be about 10-15 minutes. There was no wait line when we got there. Okay,... More

We tried this because of restaurant week, but found out the lunch special is always a deal. The mussels were delicious, I asked for a spoon to finish up the broth filled with curry and leeks. Yum. Cheesecake excellent, and light as a feather. Husband had a pasta dish that truly tasted Italian, light and fresh. Nice wine by the... More
