We have had great and not so great meals at Woodberry. The farm to table works when the farms are producing produce but really in February there's nothing. We believe that has been the difference between great and not so great. So book in the summer and fall!

...this is one of the top-rated restaurants in Baltimore. Everything WK does is made in-house. They infuse their liquor at the restaurant. All of their sauces, toppings, etc. are made in house. They use small-batch liquors for their drinks, usually from a locally-sourced distillery or brewery. We took my wife's mother here for Mother's Day. The restaurant was crowded, but... More

Casual 5 star dining. Bold, adventurous cocktail menu showcasing eclectic, unique distilleries (bourbon, rye, gin, and vodka) and well executed preparations. They make their own bitters. Amazing wines. Addressing the food, expect fresh local ingredients and stunning tastes to come from expert kitchen staff. Pickled items made in-house. Adventurous creations that totally work, every time. Book way in advance. This... More

I had done my homework and made sure to get a reservation three months before my work-related trip to Baltimore. To begin with, the restaurant is situated in a great location. The restaurant, a former flour mill, sits next to a former steel mill now housing upscale apartments and businesses. Next door/attached is a great glass gallery, which was hosting... More

This restaurant specialized is locally sourced food. I ate vegetarian and had enough to choose from on the menu. The season allowed me to choose ramps on toast as an appetizer - they were expertly done. I also had ramp and potato soup which was likewise excellent. They know how to make a salad interesting with local ingredients like wild... More

The Woodberry Kitchen is a one-of-a-kind. The service is always spot-on, they are attentive but not intrusive and the food never fails to delight. During our most recent visit I had the ever flavorful chicken and biscuit dinner - they have tweaked this dish over the years but have retained the moist chicken with the spice crusted crisp skin served... Been a while since I've been in a restaurant so ready for kids. Homemade playdough, coloring pages and special play vinyl mats/place mats. Food was very good. Stewed chicken with waffles. yum!! great salads, homemade chips/dip. Love how everything is homemade. Even the simple syrup for the iced tea. Lots of homemade sorbets and ice creams.

Had dinner with three friends. They told me that getting a reservation here often took over a week. The restaurant smelled wonderful and the food was fine. The appetizers were fine, I especially liked the scallops. The main course was a swordfish that arrived well undercooked (two of us had to send it back). They did without hesitation take our... More

Hip and happening, yes, but this Baltimore favorite just doesn't leave me satisfied. The menu is creative, but can be limiting. I tried the pheasant sausage and thought they were okay at best. On the other hand, my chicken livers on toast app was fantastic. Wife had the tile fish and we both found it very fishy in taste. I... More

This restaurant has been on my "places to go" list for sometime now. We went with high expectations and came away with an experience exceeding those expectations. The ambiance is surprisingly homey. The staff unfailingly cheerful and attentive. I suppose early spring is not prime time for farm to table in Baltimore but the kitchen made stuff like kale and... More
