Fresh crab cocktail, salmon Cobb salad and an amazing Chocolate mousse cake! The chef's presentation with food and wine was outstanding! Oh and my absolute favorite is Happy Hour with a delightful piano player brining down the house with cheerful, welcoming jazz music. Definitely a WOW experience!

I ate alone. The by the glass wine list was uninteresting. The corn chowder was ok, but not memorable. The server told me the pork shoulder had great favors, and he was right. The problem is that shoulder should be cooked low and slow so it is moist and fall-apart tender. It was tough. The fennel purée on top was... More

Decided to finally give Hudson's a try and was delighted with everything! This restaurant is located within The Heath Lodge and in walking distance from the Vancouver Mall. It's tucked in behind the shopping strip and located in a very private office park setting. Very unique, very "lodge-like" and we loved it! The service was excellent and the menu has... More

Good food, Flat steak was good. Chicken was free range, local. Two orders of bread/cream cheese appetizer disappeared in a hurry. Great service, nice table, atmosphere was intimate, not loud, with piano playing. Wooden beams and rustic. A little pricy but for a good meal these days it wasn't outrageous.

During our recent visit to Vancouver, I looked up best rated restaurants in the area. This was # 1 and we decided to try it. I was surprised to find it inside a hotel. Once inside the beautifully rustic hotel, we found the restaurant and it was busy. Good sign. It was lunch time and the seating area was on... More

Hudson's is the restaurant in the Heathman Lodge in Vancouver. You'd expect nothing less than good food here. Compared with the Heathman in Portland, Hudson's is modern, tall ceilings, lots of wood and well lit. We had the meatloaf, something we don't often eat - it was well worth it - accompanied by a Caesar salad.

While our dinner was excellent, I couldn't get over our presentation of the martinis we ordered. We both love blue cheese stuffed olives and requested them. We received in advance...regular olives and a side of blue cheese. I've never been the sous chef of my drink before. The bartender wasn't busy. But we sure were. Two thumbs down.

The food at this restaurant never dissappoints. Today I had the smoked salmon sandwich for lunch and my wife had the crab cakes along with a side order of aspargus. Both were first class. My sandwich came with a cup of soup (chicken and corn chowder), and it was excellent. The service is fast and very friendly. It is amazing... More
