This storefront Thai restaurant serves food that is redolent of Thai street food. Stick to the Thai dishes rather than Americanized versions and you'll do very well. Tom Yum noodles is a good example.

My favorite place for Thai, though it's decidedly non-fancy. It's worth going in to check out the specials board, because everything there is fantastic. The Imperial Tofu is my favorite-- gingery, savory, and just different from the normal Thai fare you see elsewhere.
We eat here at least once a month. Our local Thai take out. Nothing spectacular, just good local Thai food. They do a very healthy business.
The Phad Thai is authentic and surprisingly good, fried without the common shortcuts you come to expect in Thai food restaurants outside Thailand.

If you visit Rod Dee, try the Indonesian Fried Rice. It's is one of my absolute favorite dishes in the entire city and have not seen anywhere else come close to its greatness.

I ate at the Porter square branch of this restaurant, but I am sure that the experience is the same as at the Brookline location, which I have peeked into.
The menu is very extensive, and there were so many unusual offerings that I had difficulty making a choice. I ended up ordering the Tom Yum soup and I was...
