Down to earth, local pub with a great beer list (heavily Belgian) & great food (including variously prepared mussels). I seem to end up here every time I'm in town.

I've been here twice and I love it. Good food, good beer, good service: it's a trifecta. Get the Mac 'n Cheese, seriously. It's a little loud, but not overly so. My only complaint, albeit a minor one, is that there is always a wait but that is simply because it is so good.

The restaurant was very busy early evening on a Saturday as expected. We were told a 20 minute wait, but were seated within 15 minutes. Or you'll never get in. It's always crowded the waits are an hour+ on the weekend. Publick House is heavy on the flavors and the food is constantly good. I love the truffle ketchup, and their selection of belgian style beers. This is one of the best Pub restaurants in the Brookline area.

Have been twice recently on Friday nite... (not too late - during dinner) - they have a large assortment of beer (lot of Belgian beers) - and although I am not a huge connosuer of beer - I had a great time trying different ones! One of those stops where the first place you tried was packed. Went for lunch & had basic fish & chips (fair). Other had fish sandwich (great). Service was took order, poured water & gave check. Food was hit & miss, per table next to us too!
