very poor to average taste, menu looks appetizing but the dishes are not prepared such. many members of my family did have upset stomachs after our meal.
I've been here a couple of times in the past 15 years or so, and stopped in on Veteran's Day 2013. No one mentioned a vets deal, but there was a sign on the table, so I showed my retired ID and we got free sopas for dessert. Nice. And on the way out I got a coupon for a... More
The last night of our holiday in the US, so, as lovers of Mexican food, we decided to eat Mexican. Service was poor - our server, despite saying that he had worked there for two years, appeared never to have seen, let alone read, the menu. Numerous trips back to the table to check or clarify our order . .... More
We wanted an early dinner and chose this restaurant since it was close to our hotel. We were warmly welcomed and quickly seated. There are Drink Specials each day of the week. On Saturdays there were $4.99 margaritas- large and tasty !! The salsa and nachos were good- the menu offered plenty of choices. We enjoyed the queso, fajitas and... More
West to this restaurant to check out the menu. It looked fantastic, the restaurant was full and the food looked great, had a drink at the bar and were given tortila chips and dip which were exellent, decided against a meal, but the place was nice, authentic and the staff were friendly.
Undecided on the evening meal, we decided on Carlos O'Kelley's and weren't disappointed. We had a party of 7, which isn't easy to accommodate. Fish tacos were the bomb, gluten free menu is great, and the waitress was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
We hadn't been to Carlos O'Kelly's in years because it seemed to be going downhill at the time. We thought we'd give it another try knowing that the manager has a lot to do with the operation of any restaurant. Good manager's usually get promoted and hopefully, one as good replaces them. When that doesn't happen, the restaurant starts slipping.... More
I have driven by this place many times and finally decided to try it when I was staying at the Quality Inn right next to it. The food is your typical Mexican fare, with some unique elements. I got the Fiesta Sampler, which let you try a number of items with their different sauces. I enjoyed all the dishes and... More
Most Mexican joints offer a good meal at a reasonable price but this one was really great. The chicken chipotle burrito covered with a smoked cheese sauce was outstanding and even the refried beans were good. Service was tops and the chips fresh.
Last visited New Years Eve with friends while visiting in Fredericksburg. Food and atmosphere are always good. Servings are generous and the Margies have actual flavor
