This is a *very* belated review--I've been to the Fairbanks area three times and stopped in at the Turtle Club in February 2012 (can't go back that far on TripAdvisor so my visit date says 2013, which is the last time I was in Alaska). I heard this place had very nice desserts and while I couldn't stay for dinner,... More

I eat here every year for my birthday in January, as well as as close to monthly as my schedule will allow! My wife lives the halibut every one else loves the Prime Rib. The only bad thing is it has ruined me for all other prime rib joints across the country! The only Rib I've ever eaten that has... More

Wow -- what food! You have to negotiate your way past a smoky bar (bleech!) but it is worth it. They have a folksy large salad bar, but the menu is diverse and delicious. We had escargot and prawns and prime rib. The prawns are enormous -- three of them were a HUGE meal. The food is not inexpensive --... More

The Turtle Club, of Fairbanks-area fame, is in Fox, Alaska, about twenty miles from this location. The location identified by this posting is a narrow street in a strictly residential neighborhood. The Turtle Club, in Fox, is well worth seeking out.

salad bar is wonderful. can't assess why it is so special. can just eat a salad. but the prime rib is the best I've ever had. the prawns are huge and the service is absolutely pro!! the menu is limited but they certainly have perfected everything on it. we go here regularly and try to go only when very hungry... Location of Turtle Club might be a little far from the city centre, however do not let this deter you from visiting. We decided to go to this restaurant on our last day in Fairbanks and to celebrate our anniversary. We were lucky to be able to get a table reservation on the day itself. The shrimp cocktail was fantastic,... More

My mother would love this place-- when you first come in, every table has pre-filled water glasses and pre-set chives and bacon bits and butter for the anticipated baked potato that will come with your prime rib (she is constantly asking for more chives!). The salad bar is tame compared to what we have here in the lower 48, but... More

When I moved to this area in the 70's, there were two restaurants known for their prime rib, Turtle Club and Club 11. Club 11 burned down and was not rebuilt, so Turtle Club became the restaurant for the prime rib dinner. The menu is not extensive, and there are other options than prime rib, but they do get the...
