We were very pleased with the tasty dishes we were treated at Yemen Cafe. The restaurant had a very authentic feel and food very pleasing to the taste buds. If you're interested in trying something different while in town, definitely give Yemen Cafe a go!
It's hard to add anything to the other 5-star Trip Advisor reviews. We stayed at a hotel in the area, walked over and could not have been more pleased. Definitely worthwhile. Great great tea.
Great restaurant! The bread keeps coming - we had lamb soup, hummus, Chicken Zorbian, Haneez Rice, Massloug Rice - lamb was wonderful - fell off the bone, nicely spiced. Chicken and rice dishes were delicious too - great, attentive service.
The food was amazing, I drive 7 and 1/2 hours to come to this restaurant. Their aren't Yemen restaurants where I live.i was pleased that the food was authentic and the company was nice. I would definitely come here again.
The Yemen Cafe serves first rate Arab food. The foul is excellent as are the houmos and babba. The star of the show is the bread, baked on the spot, hot and puffy. Never saw that anywhere. He gave us free tea and coffee. A very pleasant experience
You don't need to go all of the way to Yemen to get authentic home cooked Yemeni food. This little restaurant in Brooklyn is a gem. Lamb segar is another favorite--tender morsels of meat sauteed with onion, tomato, and a... More
Please eat at this restaurant if you have never had food from Yemen. It's amazing. The Haneez is incredible (roasted lamb)--try the loubia and the salta and zorbian, too, and the hummus is the best I've ever had. The tea is terrific as is the soup and salad--all generously shared. And the huge servings of bread are freshly baked all... More
