My partner and I dined here twice during a week's break at Alleppey Beach - the second time was because it was the only place open during the strike! The food, while nice, was nothing particularly special - certainly not a patch on what we've eaten at other places in Alleppey. The upstairs part of the restaurant is the best... More

Food was ok but not great. The local wines are not recommended (it was our choice to be honest!). I found the food to be made from fresh ingredients, not heavy(!!), and the environment very upscale with taste. I was expecting a more culinary experience, but the curries were blunt, not intriguing. Don't take me wrong, it is not a... More

We decided to have a fancy dinner in Raheem Residence/Restaurant Chakara on 31.1., the place looked nice, had a great location. The menu seemed a bit too pricey at 2500 ruppies but we thought we give it a try. The outcome was terrrible, food was not good at all, meet in the seafood grilled platter was dried and had a... More

Restaurant is across the road from Alleppey beach. It gets lot of sea breeze and has very friendly staff, however, one needs to go past the security guard who has been instructed to stop all Non-foreigners from entering. Once you go past this hurdle, it is smooth sailing. Food is well presented, beer is cold. You can enjoy you meal... More

Three of us had lunch consisting of 2 plates of grilled prawns with steamed veg and chips, one chicken dish with rice and 3 Kingfisher beers. Total cost 2100 R. It all tasted great especially the veg (green beans, carrots and cauliflower florets in a buttery masala glaze). For peak Xmas season the place was quiet - only one other... More

I wanted a night-off from standard Indian fare and restaurants and this delivered well. It feels sophisticated and presents well. Overall the food was good rather than memorable

I. LOCATION Just in front of a beach, surrounded by trees, this roof top restaurant has a nice and deluxe ambiance. II FOOD QUALITY. Superb! Alleppy Fish Curry is "signature dish of the restaurant". Highly recommended. Dhal Butter fly(yellow split- peas curried with spices and butter)was delicious and not heavy. Dum Aloo Kashmiri(potatoes stuffed with spiced vegetables in cashew sauce)was... The menu at this little restaurant is quite average, as is the food. Staff are pleasant enough but the whole operation lacks any sophistication, charm or character whatsoever. Everything is just about adequate but certainly does not stand out in any way.

In raheem residency hotel, we ate here a lot. Lunches were good, if a little samey but dinners were excellent. Service at lunchtime could also be poor but we never had any problems in the evenings. We had curries, a lovely seafood platter but the highlight was the soups, which were always excellent.

I went to the restaurant based on a Lonely Planet review, which said that it is the best place in town. The food I had was OK and there was nothing to complain about, but it was far from thrilling. I dined on the lawn in front of the hotel/restaurant. I should note that some of the Trip Advisor reviews... More
