Spent 1 week in Candidasa with my family and had eaten dinner at Joglo probably 5 times. Tried the most Indonesian specialities but the mahi mahi was probably the best. Very attentive service. Owner is a Balinese with the true desire to make a difference. Try his coffee, you'll not regret.
Lovely balinese setting, friendly and attentive staff. Good choice of Indonesian and International cuisine. Every body enjoyed their meal, except me , as my Chicken Curry did not have eneogh sauce and was dry. My friend had the same meal and his was good. I think i was unlucky, and thay this is not the norm here.
The building is quite beautiful and the service was excellent. The food was pretty good, but the mango lassi's were to die for.
Delicious reasonably priced, great service by staff and nice atmosphere!
Went to this as recommended by one of the hotel staff but was dissappointed with the food. Nothing to go 'Wow!' about. Then again, food is subjective. Filled up our tummy but we are not impressed. Service is good, Very attentive staff. Quick to clear the table once finished eating.
Had dinner here & I thought it was fantastic. The mahi-mahi was beautiful as was the pasta my daughter had. For the record it is not owned by Aussies, but a local Balinese man, he was there that night. He has a done a wonderful job with the ambience & given it's one of the few eateries not actually owned/run...

A new restaurant in Candidasa... Mid-priced... Extensive menu... Decent wine list...
Owned and operated by a couple of Aussies... Beautiful setting complementing the Java architecture... The restaurant specializes in Javanese cuisine...
While many of the dishes are Italian and burgers/steak, we stuck to the Indonesian cuisine...
Gado Gado, Jimbaran fish, Chicken satay, Bumbu Bali...
Food was excellent and well presented......

We ate twice at Joglo in the time we were in Cadidasa. Once for dinner and once for lunch. On both occasions the food was exceptional and the service attentive. At night there is a pick up and drop off service which was very helpful as it was raining on the night we had booked. You do not have to...
