The first biku experiece I was assailed by the delightful sight of three middle aged matrons stuffing themselves with oversized helpings of cakes and cream and enjoying it. But biku has something for everyone and the food is good.well apart from the time Thayer forgot to cook my spanakopita! Afternoon tea is lavish and luscious. Dinner is booked out.

We had a lovely high tea on our recent trip to Bali. Turned up at 2pm with no booking - the place was busy with lots of bookings but we were seated quickly. We had skipped lunch to enjoy the High Tea and glad we did! There is a huge array of teas to choose from and each pot is... More

Service was prompt and polite although we didn't have a booking ( it seemed most had) a table was set and ready in seconds. The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes. I had te rocket pumpkin salad with raspberry vinaigrette it was well... More

This place appeared popular with the expats here and we waited abt 15 min for a table but the food came quite promptly even though it was a full house which was nice. We ordered local food of nasi goreng and Mee goreng ( fried rice and fried noodles ) . The noodles fared better as the rice seem ped... More

Well it was on my bucket list to experience a high tea and a tarot reading and now I have done both. The setting is just lovely, so relaxing. The tarot reading was quite funny and I am glad I did that even just to be able to say I have done it. The pot of tea was yummy and... More

This is not something you will find ever again. Biku is a labour of love by Jero Asri, the Australian wife of one of the Ubud royal princes. But that doesn't matter at all, because Asri and her ideas fly on their own wings. She's from a good established Australian family, who handed down recipes and kitchen know-how from generation... Thank you for your recent posting about Biku. We are glad you like the setting, but wonder why it took you 18 months to write your review. We are surprised you think this review would still be relevant, and why in 2011 you said" you had enjoyed dinner with your hubby at Biku and the food was good" in a... More
