Had the beef stew and captains plate. Beef stew was excellent. My Chinese grandmother does one similar to this one. The captains platter was pretty good, too. Not amazing. But still awesome.

After looking at several review for the Pine Tree Café my husband and I tried it. His Loco Moco was really good. The gravy was some of the best I have eaten. My salad while fresh that morning could have used a different type of dressing, I should have gotten the Creaser Salad instead of the garden salad. The last...

We have eaten over a number of years. Each dish has its own flavor, they give a good quantity, the price is reasonable. This counter-service restaurant is better than most of the sit-down restaurants in Kona that charge a much higher price. You definitely should eat here!
I always stop here on the way to or from Kailua-Kona Airport. Always fresh and tasty. The servings are so generous that I can eat half in the cafe and take half on board with me for a second meal. The setting is pure food hall chic, but if it's atmosphere you want, go to one of the hotels and...

Recommended by our hotel bellman! Great local food in a clean and simple setting! Large portions and great pricing will see us return whenever we fly into and out of Kona!
We were doing our drive from kailua Iona to hapuna beach with a planned stop at the costco to pick up snacks and maybe a hot dog. We passed the exit, took the next exit to turn around and found pine tree cafe in a tiny mall. Will update this review when to take pictures and eat!
First stop for us after landing at airport. Breakfast to go. Saw our flight attendant. Got a coffee at Kona Coffee next door. Sat at outdoor table. Heaven. Came back for lunch after beach during the week. Nothing fancy but fresh and a good value.
Hearty breakfasts at good prices. My husband loved the breakfast fish platter and I had the breakfast burrito one day and the pancakes another day. Both were very good with fresh ingredients and homemade taste. We found this place by accident and had not read any reviews beforehand, but we liked it so much we had breakfast here twice during...

Looks like a high school cafeteria, but the kalau pork and cabbage i had here was one of the best things ive ever eaten. Came as part of a hawaiian slam plate. The rest was ok, the poi was blah, but hey...its poi. Wife had a teri-burger which was more like a teri-steak sandwich. She approved. We were obvious tourists...

We saw the review in yelp and we decided to try the place!!! What a good find! There were many selections to choose from, and the food was affordable. No more than $ 10.00 most combo. The Korean bulgogi and the salmon dish was amazing. We ended eating as well as order take out from the place. I highly recommend the...
