Have been to Shiono with my husband. After having tried Seiji Sushi, Shiono cannot compete at all, it is just very average level sushi, nothing special. The service was also disappointing for one of the lady was really unfriendly. If you want to dine for nice environment and decoration, it is good place.

Driving back from the Volcano, we were in the mood for sushi. This did not disappoint. Try the volcano roll, which is topped with macadamia nuts. Our son chose chicken teriyaki. It had such a lovely smoky taste which balanced the sweetness. Extensive sake options.

We when for dinner with my family one of wholm spent time in Japan. We all enjoyed dinner especially the deluxe boat. Highly recommend this restaurant. Service was excellent too even though we were outside. Will go back another night soon.

This is a hidden gem. It's really not along the street. You have to go in a little bit from the Thai resto in front. Quaint place but very good rolls. We loved the Spider roll and Salmon skin roll!

Good sushi spot just off the main road. Lots of locals eating there, which is always a good sign. The sushi was good, but not out of this world. Would definitely go back.

Loved the Poke. Loved the sushi. Loved the chicken teriyaki. We have come to this restaurant every time we're in Kailua-Kona. I am still thinking about the textures and flavours of this place now that I am back at home. After eating here, you feel light and satisfied. Will definitely be back next trip.
