The Wild Mountain Cafe is in the Ballad neighborhood on the north side of Seattle. It is housed in a purple house sitting atop a small staircase from the street. The decor is bright with colorful pictures. If the tomato vegetable soup is typical of daily selections then I'd want to taste all of them. It was very tasty with... More

This restaurant has never disappointed us and we can recommend it for anytime of the day - it is just that breakfast is our favorite. The finer points include very tasty, crisp bacon, coffee that is very flavorful (not burnt), fluffy scrambled eggs and light puffy French toast. Located in an house converted into a restaurant there are essentially two... More

The restaurant in located in an old house. There is so much character in the house house and the food is fabulous and tasty. A neighborhood gem. Weekend features their out of this world cinnamon buns, so arrive early to not miss these delicious treasures! The staff is very nice and truly enjoy working there. Angela is such a sweetheart... I've been here twice for breakfast--they are also open for lunch. Hippie decor but very good food. Their coffeecake is excellent. The garlic potato cakes that come with egg dishes are an interesting change from hash browns or fried new potatoes. Many egg dishes to choose from but very few choices in the pancake/waffle category. I had the spinach-mushroom-swiss cheese-bacon... More

I'd long noted this house off of busy 85th and last night we stopped. Good 1.2 priced margaritas on Monday nihgt, with a pretty full restaurant for a Monday. Excellent appetizer (garlic with pepper flakes, servoced with goats chees and spinach on grilled toast ), a better than average ceasar (small one big enough to be shared), and two entrees:... More

If you want a true, down home experience in Seattle, you MUST go to Wild Mountain Cafe. We absolutely LOVE this place! The food is great (not fine dining four star kind of stuff, but great home-cooked comfort food seasoned with love!), the service is always outstanding, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. This is a local hang out... More

We love Wild Mountain. The food is always great, the atmosphere is fun, the garden is beautiful, plus they're environmentally friendly! Can't beat that! The best thing about Wild Mountain though is the great service! Everyone there is always so upbeat and friendly, and I always see the same faces year after year. They must be doing something right to... More
