Our very knowledgeable waiter steered us to wonderful entrees and wine selections. Quiet atmosphere for visiting with friends and family.

Volterra is a decent Italian restaurant suitable for families and bigger groups. The setting is nice; however it can get little loud as the dining area is one big room with tables placed relatively close to each other. We gave it a try during Dine around Seattle. The courses were on a smaller side but combined together produced satisfying meal.... More

We had a wonderful 3 course dinner during 3 for $30 week in Seattle. Great choices---4 of us sampled the entire special menu and everyone got to compare. A good selection of WA wines added to the enjoyment. The entrees were creative and very good, but the desserts were worth a late night visit just for them.

Brunch is my favorite meal and Volterra, an Italian-style restaurant, has never disappointed. It is in the Ballard section of Seattle, a little out of the way, but there are lots of other things to see and do in Ballard, once you get there. Recently we were there with a party of six adults and a child on a Saturday.... More

We have never been disappointed when we visit Voltera. Food is wonderful, try the wild boar, and the service is always great. Dinners are great but did not care for Sunday brunch.

Volterra draws a loyal and steady crowd, offering consistently fresh and appealing food time after time. We like to combine several starters and share an entree, and our server helped us choose small plates to make the most of our meal. The antipasto plate was excellent, if a bit scant on some items, and their pasta was perfectly cooked. We... More

Our personal favorite for fine dining in Ballard. Always yummy with great service and menu options. A great place to celebrate! A good balance of fish and meat dishes, with a lean toward contemporary Italian cuisine. Seating available in the bar, inside or outside (summer time is best!). Fresh bread with the fennel salt is just a peek into the... More

We always enjoy the intimate feel of Volterra, the parking in Ballard is difficult, but their valet service offers a great alternative to the parking hassle. We enjoy the wine selection and never have gone wrong trying something new on the menu. The service was a little slow when we were there, but I think they were short staffed. The... More

We had dinner at the recently opened Volterra in Kirkland on Saturday evening. The polenta and wild mushroom appetizer was amazing. The sauces on the wild boar entree and pork entree are very rich and flavorful. The gelato desert was supposed to have 3 scoops of gelato, but I beleive there were only two; however, it was still excellent. They... More
