The Q-wraps are a must and then from there you can do no wrong!!! I typically go with the pork and two sides mmmm! Can't come through Atlanta and not stop here!
That's their slogan. Enough said. Just go. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The fried pickles were tasty and the ribs were cooked perfectly.
I visited Atlanta in September of 12 from Miami. When I go out of town, I love visiting what most people consider to be the "best places to eat" in that specific area. After google searching for the best BBQ in Atlanta, Daddy D'z came up. I noticed that the restaurant wasn't necessarilly near any tourist spots, but I didn't...

In an old bbq shack that look run down. Same waitress has served us every time. She's friendly, but efficient. Hands down best ribs in Atlanta. The whole place smells like bbq and it has fans, but no air conditioning on the screened porch. Very small, but my family of 7 went for a late lunch and were able to...

If looking for barbecue in Atlanta and willing to venture a little outside downtown proper, try out this haunt. A staple for folks heading to see the Braves play, it is even better in the offseason when mostly locals share the tables. You know you have arrived because you can smell the smoker long before you enter the establishment.

We found this on our Trip Advisor app or maybe it was the Food Network one. Were headed through town on the interstate and decided to give it a go. Easily accessible off and on the highway. Loved the ribs. All good home cooking soul food sides, killer cornbread, friendliest service anywhere. Definitely a dive but we liked it alot....

I was not impressed with Daddy D's BBQ at all. I have eaten at BBQ places across the South and this place is no where close to the greats. I only tried the pull pork plate but did not enjoy the meat or collard greens. If in the Atlanta area, I would recommend trying Harold's Barbecue or Fox Brothers.
Once you get beyond the location and the appearance of the building, you will have some of the best pulled pork BBQ. I went for lunch and got the pulled pork plate with fried okra and candied yams. Very generous portions and very well prepared. The pulled pork was moist, picked very clean with no extra fat, and had a...

If you are looking for simply the best BBQ in town with no frills or fancy atmosphere this is the place. Daddy Dz has been there forever and the building looks like it (LOL) old wood building with screen doors and sticks holding the windows open. Nice screened in area and small inside dining room with a great smoky smell....
