Extensive all you could eat buffet with a fantastic view for about $30 per person. Watch out for birds or they'll steal your food!
Had breakfast at the Grand Dining Room a few times. The setting is really nice with both indoor or outdoor seating, and the view of the ocean and the fountain pool is so beautiful. Selection is quite good for a U.S. hotel. There's an egg station, and also there are freshly made waffles. What we liked the most is that... More
I live on island and have been to almost every breakfast/brunch buffet in Maui. I always come back to Grand Dining Room because it is absolutely the BEST! The staff is always friendly(especially the hostess, they make me laugh!), great food, great atomosphere and a great deal. This is the place I love to bring my family/friends who are visiting... More
Just had brunch in the grand dining room...everything was fantastic! The champagne (Domaine Ste. Michelle) was excellent---reportedly having beat Dom Perignon in blind taste tests---was free flowing! Our servers Mherlon and Debbie were very attentive providing the best service. All the food from the eggs Benedict, the carving station , the fresh sashimi, savory entrees too numerous to mention as... More
We had a breakfast business meeting here, and really enjoyed the buffet. Great views of the beautiful property, and ocean breezes. Good selection of items on the buffet, and attentive service. A bit pricey, but if you stay at a Waldorf Astoria, this is what you should expect to pay. Still, I'd cringe if I was trying to feed a... More
Our first morning in Maui we decided to have a nice breakfast in the Grand Dinning Room. We had eaten there on a past visit and enjoyed it. We ordered omelets. Two of the omelets had special dietary requirements. Unfortunately, we waited a very long time and the waitress informed us there was only one omelet chef and he was... More
While I wouldn't say this breakfast is amazing, it was still pretty good. While a little pricey (around $30 / adult) there was certainly enough variety for us. Loved the omelette station and you must try the home grown honey from the Grand Wailea.
Our friends who live locally found 2 for one coupons in the Sunday newspaper and invited us to join them. This was a world class experience! It is truly a grand buffet on Sunday morning! We savored our food and lingered to enjoy the atmosphere!
The buffet breakfast itself was overshadowed by the beautiful view. The open dining rooms is large and we were seated on the opposite end of the buffet which liked, because it was quiet, even though we had to walk to the other end for our food. The food was delicious with a good variety of breakfast items from made to... More
The Grand Dining Room is a magnificent space. The buffet, while it had good variety and decent food, seemed a little Golden Corralish in presentation rather than luxury resort. But that is too be expected at the Grand Wailea because it is a pricey resort oriented at the mainstream rather than a more exclusive resort (see separate review of it).
