Always a very good meal. I had shrimp & grits with Tasso ham. Excellent. Spouse had scallops w/garlic mashed. Also excellent. Special appetizer of foie gras with blackberry reduction good but definitely not worth $22.50. Next time I will ask price of the specials. Signature dish (chicken fried oysters) much better deal at $12.50. I prefer this location (the original)... More

The salmon was very good as well as the garlic mashed potatoes, but both were out-shined by the asparagus. Very well prepared with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance the flavor of the asparagus. I would have rated the restaurant higher except for the excessive noise coming from the open kitchen and the "industrial look" which tends to... More

Reading all the boffo reviews for Silo my BW and I were anxious to partake. We arrived on a Sunday evening just as they opened. We were greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. Our server was nice and friendly, but a little new. We had checked out the menu and decided to order two Caesar salads, the chicken fried... More

Had dinner there on a Monday night. Ordered off the price fixed menu. Had the chicken fried oysters based on other reviews. Most excellent. Used a Groupon which actually does not apply to the price Fixed, but not clearly stated on the Groupon. Waitress honored it anyway. Excellent service. All the people who worked there seemed very friendly and pleasant.... More

This was a surprise. I was brought here as a guest for lunch and the place is very cool and has a great feel to it. We were greeted and seated immediately. The food was fantastic and it was truly amazing. We had appetizers of the house specialty Signature Chicken Fried Oysters which were truly awesome and also Crispy Duck... More

I liked everything about Silo - the decor, service, and of course the food. Went to the 1604 location with some good friends, we all had something different from the prix fixe menu, and we were all very satisfied with our selections. This is a special occasions restaurant, and a good alternative to the standard hi-end steak house that people... More

Very unique food. There are two locations, one north and one closer to downtown. Both are fantastic. most ingredients are local or very fresh. their wine list is extensive and the bar that is attached is a great place to have a drink to start. often they have live music.

The location is odd, but once inside it is very nice. We dined here with a large group for business and everyone was pleased with the food. We had the oysters, tuna, beef lettuce wraps and mussels to start. im not a huge oyster lover, but they were fantastic! The soup was a navy bean broth based and it was... More

Outstanding food and service. Oysters were fantastic. Real gourmet in the heart of Texas. Best food in San Antonio. Unusual location in a strip mall but once you arrive and go up to the second floor you enter a nice restaurant.

Like a really good book, I did not want this to be over. Starting with the basket full of incredibly fresh, warm, chewy, soft, crunchy crust, chock full of grains bread to my peppercorn crusted seared tuna with the most flavorful rice I have ever tasted to this coconut pie with a macadamia shortbread crust I was making yummy noises...
