LOVED IT! Their pizza is awesome! Thin crust, good sauce and lots of cheese! Plan on waiting a while, they can get really packed!
A fantastic place for big parties. The atmosphere was lively but over bearing. There was 9 of us and we and we spent about $16 a head: drinks, sandwiches, and their 42" pizza... there was so much food left over. We could have just order the 42" and that would have been enough. One member of our party ordered the... More
TEXAS size pizza !!!!!!! Staff: good but not great Facility: clean, 2 bars and 4 dining areas Location: in a bad part of town but off duty San Antonio police officers are the prime security element on the location and maintain a great presence There is a line when you first arrive inside but it only last about 15minutes before... We saw Big Lou's on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives and knew we had to try it. And we were not disappointed. We arrived around 6:15 for dinner and glad that we did at the perfect time as the line was not too long. You wait in line and order at the register. You are then waited to be seated,... More
Pizzas are unique and though large, no skimping on ingredients...oh and their calzones are just as good...I am a repeat customer...all to the gym I go, so I can continue to enjoy and indulge at Big Lou's!
Living out of state, I had honestly never heard of this place. I found myself at Big Lou's white visiting some family in San Antonio, and to say that this place is amazing is not an understatement. Yes, the line is long; yes, the pizza takes a long time to cook, but the experience is definitely worth it. That's right,... More
We have seen in on TV and friends told us about it, and truly this is one great pizza place. As being our first time, we had to try the 42 inch pizza to be part of the experience of eating in this place, we got have of pepperoni and half of Canadian bacon, the tastes as my kid like... More
This was by far the best pizza I've ever had. I also had the pasta and it was great. We had enough for left-overs. Even those were great the next day. The service was good, the staff was friendly, and we didn't have to wait long at all. This was on a Sunday after church. We'll definitely be going back.
Second visit this year, awesome pizza both times. We call in for the 37" to go because the wait to dine in is has been well over 2hrs for a table both times. Just make sure you go in a truck or suv to pick it up, it is BIG!
The pizza was worth the 45 minute wait to get seated. Waiters were prompt with drinks. All in all, it was a great experience. There were several large parties going on, but I never felt neglected by the wait staff.
