Small seating/ eating area. Super staff and great product! Get a coffee and enjoy your soon-to-be favorite French pastry.
I know, we all go to Santa Fe and expect to eat the Santa Fe style food. We had crepes for breakfast with coffee and loved every bite. Beautiful looking pastries, but too full to indulge.
Don't, repeat, DO NOT go to this gastronomical disaster. The worst place to eat in Santa Fe. An embarrassment to anything pretending to be French.
Ze Bistro is probably the most appalling restaurant I have ever experienced. It would be hard to decide what was worse there: the atmosphere, the service, the utter lack of professionalism, or bringing up the rear (derrière in this case) truly awful food. I brought two friends with me and was so embarrassed and mortified by our experience that I... More
When a group of 10 arrives unexpectedly after the lunch hour has come and gone on a Sunday, you expect to have to make a few concessions… But, the owners were very nice and took the time to arrange tables for us and made us feel welcome. It was also fun to have to switch back to French from English,... More
We had dinner there on a wednesday night at 6:30. We left around 8 pm -- and in all that time, the guets were a family of 4 and the two of us. The place was empty. They have a 20$ three course dinner special. They were out of several items. The fish was excellent, as was the onion soup.... More
Not the light white flour crepes you are used to, but a more robust buckwheat flour affair. Over the surprise into the glen of taste enjoyment. Both the fruit filled and savory crepes were non traditional but very good. The more traditional French fare of a croissant was one of the best I have ever had. Good service and good... More
We recently spent a week in Santa Fe and this was the only restaurant experience we regretted. We should have taken a clue from the fact that the place was almost deserted on a Saturday night. There were only three other tables when we arrived around 6:30 and only one other party came in during our whole meal. Our wine... More
I live in Albuquerque, and find myself in Santa Fe less and less. This bistro typifies the rude, arrogant behaviors we all have learned to expect from 'service' help in Santa Fe. You wait person is probably the son or daughter of someone famous, has been schooled at elite universities... and is waiting for a grant.... [as they will tell... More
Something weird must have happened when the other reviewer got what he called "terrible" crepes. Both the traditional ones and the galettes (buckwheat crepes) are quite wonderful in my experience (yes, I have been to France). This is the best place for French food in Santa Fe. Yes, the prices are high, and the servers are not waiting on you... More
