My wife and I were very hungry from our flights from Spokane and Salt Lake City to Albuquerque but , we managed to wait till we arrived in Santa Fe to find a decent meal. Luckily for us, we spotted Tecolote Cafe as we drove into Santa Fe. I happened to remember that Guy Fieri of DDD on the Food... More

Leave the plaza and get to this local gem. Awesome breakfast!! Choose your bread for french toast or try the local specialties. You cannot go wrong. The muffin and biscuit basket is a great starter. I had the daily french toast special which was stuffed with an orange cream and topped with strawberries. SO GOOD I didn't even use syrup.... More

The Huevos rancheros with green chile are SO good, especially with posole. The service is down to earth--none of that snooty Santa Fe stuff! You fell welcome as soon as you walk in the door.

We live in D.C. and make the trek to N.M. every year to visit my husband's family. We found this little cafe by accident one year and it is one of the highlights of my visit every year. Their carne adovada is perfection and my husband typically gets one of their burritos. Most meals come with a choice of sides,... More

Best breakfast in Santa Fe. Be prepared for long lines and a long wait. But the food is well worth the wait.

I go to this restaurant at least twice a month for breakfast. It is consistently good with very good service. It's not fancy and has a diner type feel to it. It's more of a locals favorite or with people in the know who come to Santa Fe frequently. The food and service are very good. Get the complimentary breakfast... More

My whole family went for breakfast this last Wednesday and it was heavenly. The carne y juevos were out of control, best in Santa Fe hands down. The atole pinon pancakes are KILLER. The waitstaff is very nice. This place is now my must go place in Santa Fe when I visit.

The pinon pancakes are positively the best in the world. This is a wonderful spot for a real value breakfast or lunch. Service is great and food is always dependably delicious. The owl theme is homey. We've been eating here for years and the staff doesn't change, so they must treat their employees well, a good sign.

Heard about the place and upon arrival found it was full of locals. After eating we now know why. Great SW items, fresh and hot. Service was friendly, fast and competent (sometimes hard to get all 3). Please know it is not an American breakfast place-no toast, only tortillas.

After waiting for a half hour to get in, My wife and I decided on the breakfast special. Our food was delivered promptly but the biscuits were like rocks. My wife after finally getting the waitresses attention ( waitresses involved in lengthy conversation, no time to be bothered by a customer ) asked for something edible. She ordered pancakes of...
