We were told by friend to try this resturant. Since we all like German food we gave it a try. It is very authetic and 'OLD WORLD". Service was good and we had a great meal decor is definetly German. Well worth a visit if you enjoy German food. Very diverse German menu with several continental entrees. It is alillye... More

First off I want to say that when you order a beer in a restaurant where the meal you are going to eat is over $20.00 the waitress should bring a glass with it. The mashed potatoes were very dry and tasteless, the bacon wrapping the teeny tiny filet soggy and limp and the gravy tasted like a bouillon cube... More

We had the most amazing food at the Student Prince. Started with the Fried Camembert which was really good!. The Cucumber salad has wonderful mix of Dill and sweet vinegar. The warm german potato salad is truly amazing. Our Entrees were both Schnitzel. Chicken and Kaiser. The Kaiser came with a mushroom gravy that really made this a special dish.... More

Excellent food and have been here for ever. There are 3 German restaurants in the area and they are all very good.

We were in the Springfield area and decided to try The Student Prince Café for a late lunch. Really liked the ambiance. Very old world, warm and inviting. Seemed to be an abundance of dining areas and also two rooms with nice large bar areas. We dined in one of the dining rooms. Couldn’t have had a nicer more accommodating... More

From the moment you walk in the front door to the moment you reluctantly leave, you will enjoy the old-world charm of the Student Prince. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the décor is beautiful and the food is wonderful, whether you love German food or not. There's nothing to add that the other reviewers have not mentioned, from... More

German and Continental cuisine. The bar is adorned with a spectacular collection of steins and glassware. The restaurant has picturesque stained-glass windows.

Most delicious food ever. Such a historical wonder, too. I love the steins that line the walls. I highly recommend the fried camembert cheese (my family gets a double order every time) and the Nuremberg sausage over red cabbage as delicious appetizers. The best thing I have ever eaten in my life is the veal shank with pan gravy. It... More

Had a couple night stay in Springfield MA, one of the most depressing cities in MA. However, if not for this restaurant the otherwise “trip from hell” would have been a complete disaster. This place is great and a true bright spot in a dying city. For anyone middle aged or older this place will be a trip down memory... More

Visited here with family and it's hard to believe that your NOT back in the Fatherland once you enter. The place brings you back to Germany and the décor is wonderful! The Sauerbraten is second to none! The red cabbage was excellent! Extensive beer list and they DID have my favorite German Riesling wine! This place is a jewel and... More
