Yes, Max's has great food. Yes, it is a great place to go out for that special dinner. Yes, Max's has wonderful seasonal dishes, wines, beer, and cocktails. But it is so much more. If you want a great neighborhood bar to hang our in to relax after a long week of work, Max's is the perfect spot. We love... More

I made a reservation for my anniversary, making note of the special occasion in the Open Table notes. When we arrived, we were not asked if we wanted to sit outdoors (it was a beautiful evening, and there was plenty of outdoors seats) or in, we were just taken inside. We passed a really nice table, but when I asked... More

Visited this place several times with friends, and the food was always exceptional, the bartenders great, too. I can always expect a great burger from this place!

I had dinner: First I had bisque, then the Idaho Rainbow Trout, Cornmeal crusted, apple-smoked bacon braised collard greens, maple bourbon glazed sweet potatoes, Cajun remoulade. Awesome meal. Then had coffee and sorbet for dessert. Great service, well-run, nice atmosphere, very consistent. Highly recommended.

Delicious!! Everything we had from the raw platter to the "spicy" hot fudge sundae was delicious!! The service was casual, but perfect and its a no brained to go back. You won't have a bad meal!!

Average food with very high prices. My friend and I got meatloaf dinner, soup and split an appetizer, no alcohol and it was about $50.00

The service was really good, I've ordered salmon which was really good but the waiter's recommendation for chocolate truffles that are not on the menu was awesome!

Went here for husband's birthday after touring the BasketBall of Fame (same building). Given the location, I wasn't expecting much but I was wrong, the service was exceptional and the food very good. We like the decor and, on our way out, we walked through the bat which was really hopping for early on a Saturday night. Only regret (and... More

We had Friday lunch at Max's yesterday with another couple. This was our fifth visit to Max's, and I'm sorry to report that with each subsequent visit, the quality of the food has gone down. The Plus Side: --We had a reservation, arrived on time, and were seated promptly. --The hostess and our waitress were both friendly and welcoming. --The... More

Year in and year out, Max's is the "go-to" restaurant when entertaining corporate visitors. Very good food and drink. Seafood, chicken, pasta, but especially steak - their specialty. However, I can even get a good vegetarian meal by ordering off their extensive side dish menu. A bit pricey, but always a great meal.
