Vicksburg is full of small town America charm. You should try to go to a local place or see if you can grab a bite at a bed and breakfast for a nice home cooked meal.

Food was ok, but we did have a really nice server. She brought us some rolls to try while we were waiting for our food and made our visit pleasant.
I've been here a handful of times over the years and every time has been a disappointment. From slow service, to mediocre food, it just seems like nobody at this restaurant cares.

Had the hamburger and fries. Food was good but rest of experience was bad. Dirty smelling and smoking section was horrible. Server was very polite.
The only thing in Shoney's is they do allow smoking in one area and it affects the non-smokers. Smokers definitely should be banned, disbarred and terminated from entering Shoney's permanently.
OK - not the best, but an opportunity for us Yankees to try a wide assortment of Southern delicacies with their buffet. Fun!
they ask me to see myself so I did. I've been waited almost 15 minutes while 3 or 4 waiters passed by me several times none of which brought me a menu or even acknowledge my presence.. they were not busy at all. I finally got up and left. the floors were filthy too.
