Not much stock on the shelves when i visited but the slices on display looked yummy. Low season so should be good later in the year
We were there for afternoon refreshments and breakfast the next day. All the staff were super friendly and gave us tips of local "must do's" as well as giving us great teas/coffees/food!!
Loved the setting- Rustic with mismatching chairs. Friendly staff took our order. Most interesting dish on the menu was breakfast cake. My partner ordered it and I wish I had. I hope they were cleaning out and redoing, for it was a huge mess. Half of the place was closed & the furniture was torn & very worn. As for the pantry to purchase food items, it was almost empty and the toilet was out of order. Chose to eat else where.
Had lunch here following a cave tour. Good selection of home baked food at reasonable prices. A little run down looking but great food, great coffee & friendly staff. A very country atmosphere. Toilets also available.
Good spot to base your tour on. You need to get to the tour early and this is a good place for lunch to get ready. Wi-Fi is notoriously bad in this region so if you need to catch up with emails, this is probably the best spot. Good basic food options for lunch.
We had breakfast here the morning we left Waitomo Caves area. I had the Breakfast Cake which was delicious and the other two had some form of egg dish which they said was great.
