I won't waffle on, just read everyone else's reviews. We had been disappointed all week with mediocre meals so I looked on Lonely Planet and found Nireas, we located it easily and it was just as good as everyone says. The owner is like a Greek version of James Nesbitt, he had just the right balance of being a good... More

If you have any interest in fresh seafood and a great overall dining experience you must try Nireas. My husband and I had read the reviews in our Lonely Planet Guidebook and TA. We ate there one night and although we had decided never to eat at the same place twice during our two week Greece trip we just had... More

Upon our arrival in Rhodes, my friend and I had missed the buffet dinner at the hotel so we made a trip into Rhodes Town and stumbled across this restaurant by the harbour. The pizzas and salad we had was absolutely delicious and fresh and the manager recommended a local Rhodes medium dry wine. He claimed it had not name... More

My fiancée and I had read about Nireas in a travel book, and were sold by the description of the calamari as "melt in your mouth." We were not dissapointed. We both love seafood, and the menu is packed with it, at reasonable prices. I had the mussels, which were filling, fresh, and the broth was so good I wanted... More

During our first visit to the old town of rhodes, we found this taverna - thank god - because we got a little bit lost. The taverna is located at a nice charming and quiet place in the old town of rhodes, aside the typical overcrowded tourist places. While studying the menu, theodore, the owner, welcomed us with the question:... More

We spent our Honeymoon in Rhodos Old Town and tried out a few of the places you can find in Tripadvisor. Nireas was by far the best seafood we had on the island. Get a karaffe of the white house wine and you are perfectly set. The owner is from the island of Symie and knows his fish and deserts!... More

We were so lucky to pass this restaurant. We studied the menu, as Theo welcomed us to his restaurant. As I am not a mussels and octopus lover, he offered me some spaghetti with prawns, which I hope, he added to his menu! ;o) My friend decided to try the octopus (Greek version!) which he loved. The next day, we... More

Theodore, Constance, and Theodore's dad have a special gift for creating the most delicious, creative, photogenic, and memorable seafood and vegetarian dishes (plus irresistible desserts!) and providing the most individualized and personal service. After our first visit to their charming (inside a historic building and outside in a beautiful garden) restaurant, we couldn't imagine eating anywhere else in Rhodes. Nireas... More

A wonderful evening of good food, lovely ambiance and an entertaining host are guaranteed when you dine at the restaurant in the Old town on Rhodes Island. We tried a variety of superb starters, each beautifully-prepared and well-presented. Try the spicy cheese, the fava beans and the roasted peppers, corgettes and aubergines. For mains the seafood is a must. Try... More
