Went for evening meal. A little tricky to find and ended up parking a couple of streets away due to no parking spaces available , although not the restaurants fault! Quite small place, best described as a family restuatant. On the night of our visit pretty quiet although we arrived fairly late. Had Curry Kapitan as well as a couple... More

We are big fans of Nyonya cuisine, eat it often in Singapore and Melaka, Malaysia. So during our recent Penang trip we sought out Nyonya restaurants too. Read of several Nyonya restaurants along Lorong Abu Siti but on the day we were there only Nyonya Breeze was open, made it easy to decide which one. 1. Contrary to some other... More

I had seen this restaurant on the first floor several times on visiting Straits Quay and often thought about giving it a try but I'd heard mixed reports about it and was a little hesitant. Recently I called in with a friend of mine and tried the set lunch that they have at around RM 25-30 per person. For one... More

The one I went to was located in Straits Quay, Penang. This is the upgraded version of the one located at Abu Siti Lane. To my surprise, they have very reasonable set lunch meal. RM12+ for a set that comes with a drink ( lemon tea/ peach tea ), Rice with 2 dishes from the list and the soup of... More

Helpful staff helped us choose a few dishes (we had had a large lunch so only wanted something light) . The stingray in a thinish curry was delicious - sour with tamarind and salty with belacan (the local fermented shrimp paste). Would like to try more Nyonya when we have eaten less lunch !

we arrived at Nyonya Breeze and were seated immediately, right by a bookshelf. We ordered the usual nyonya dishes: curry kapitan, choon peah, achar, loh bak, jiu hu char and otak otak. The dishes came and they were very good, the curry was slightly oily but the flavour was good. However, in the middle of the meal, i noticed a... More

Great food with good service in clean and simple environment. I was there for dinner tonight and am tempted to go back again tomorrow.

Here is a place where you can get Nyonya food that you seldom find in similar restaurants in the same category. You will of course find all your Nyonya favourites here. It's worth a try. I came here on a Sunday & the lunch crowd continued until 2 pm so it's a busy little place where regulars tend to return.
