We stopped in here for about half an hour for a few cocktails and to say we have done it. We never had a meal. The view of the beach and ocean are fabulous. The beer was cold, the Pina Colladas were expensive. I would go back just for the historical value and the view. Mike

Great experience here... The food and service was great and it was also kind of cool to eat in a place that "Al Capone visited during the prohibition"... My buddy and I both had the Filet Mignon and thought it was awesome... (Way better than any of the food at our resort!) Overall, no complaints!

For starters im not sure why there's so much arguing about whether it belonged to al.. When we went nobody claimed that it did. The sign in the front says "this building was built in the 20s as a warehouse to store alcohol and cigars during prohibition. Al Capone visited here at the End of that decade" That aside.. The... My group of 5 friends including myself went here for lunch on may 10th of 2011 while we were vacationing in Cuba... The lobster here is excellent , it costs 25 pesos but it is well worth the money !!! I do rescommend this and also stay from the steak as most of the beef in varadero Cuba is not... More

We visited this restaurant on a day trip to Varadero (it is located in Varadero not Matanzas). Whether or not this was truly a spot Al Capone stayed we enjoyed it. The food was very good, the views are beautiful and the services was great. It is pricey, but no more than you would pay in Canada for a steak... More

We visited Casa in Nuvember 2011, we were 2 couples, we rented a scooter to view the streets of Varadero, and decided to scoot to Matanzas, the restaurant is in Varadero in the district of Matanzas and not in the city of itself. Regardless of the stories this restaurant is built on, and regardless if it is a myth or... More

We visiyed Casa de Al for a meal. The resturant is in Varadero in the district of Matanzas and not in the city of Matanzas. The house is stunning and on the beach with an excellent view of the sunset. Who cares about whether it is fact or a myth. The decor and menu are themed to Al Capone and... More

This is one of the many homes this regime confiscated from rightful owners. It is not true that this house or any other house in Cuba belonged to Al Capone, he never owned a house there, pure lies.

Le Casa de Al stands out as unique in Varedeo for me due to the possible historic link to the infamous Al Capone. Arguments are for and against this building having anything to do with the famous gangster, and I have read comments from others who state this story was only inspired and invented due to the building looking similar...
