We have heard a lot about Magaret;s egg tart but to our taste, it was not that good compare to the original one. The egg itself is OK but the tart is not what we like. This is purely our openion. Location wise, it rather difficult to find as It is located behind the small lane

Margaret's Cafe is a small, home-style shop that has the reputation of having one of the best (next to Lord Stow's) Egg Tarts in Macau--a well known iconic specialty dessert for Macanese cuisine. There were definitely some other tourists around but it seemed well frequented by locals as well and felt like a nice, local experience. The egg tarts were... More

Go here for one thing and one thing only - the cream portuguese egg tarts. When we got there (at 1pm on a Sunday) we misguidedly joined the queue (of about 10 ppl) but then realized we had to walk into the restaurant and make an order first. The queue was solely for the egg tarts (if you're looking to... More

They serve brilliant Portugese caramel egg tarts. Not too sweet, with crispy crust and soft egg filling. Tables were outside the shop, facing a back alley which is very clean and "Macau". Locals would queue up to buy their bread and cakes. Carrot cakes were good too.

The egg tart was not bad, but the service is other way round, as a tourist you will need to see what they have to offer, but the workers will chase you out for standing in the way and keep rushing you to make your choice and pay... it is not cheap too... For those who likes lousy service, highly... More

Looking for Lord Stowe's bakery I stumbled upon Cafe e Nata after a long day of sightseeing in Largo do Senado in Macau. I ordered four tarts at $8 HKD each. That was a mistake because after taking my first bite, we fell in line again for more. You have to stand your ground in line because people will trample... More

I went to Senado Square on my last day to find Margaret's cafe. What i can say is.. difficult to find if you're already inside Senado Square area. But if you walk from the main street i think you can spot them easily. There's an alley between Lukfoo jewelry and Chow Tai Fook Jewelry where you can see just before... More
